The facility contains 6 deer holding pens that can be completely darkened or lit with regular or red lights throughout. The alleys that run from the 6 external pens into the facility are covered in black material to effectively facilitate the movement of the animals from the pens to the barn. Currently 65 deer are in the breeding program and as the management plans change new genetics are implemented from the breeding pens.
