Location:                          The Flowers Farm is located approximately 20 miles NW of Pearsall with Hwy frontage on FM 140, this farm is the central property and is located along the north side of FM 140 and accessed at the SE corner.

Description:                    This farm is a part of three farms operating as one unit. The Flowers Farm includes approximately 525 acres of pivot irrigated land separated into three pivot areas.

Water:                               The farm has three Carrizo irrigation wells.

Improvements:               The three sections of irrigated land include a 210 acre, 180 acre and a 135 acre pivot. This farm serves as the central headquarters for the Frio Farm operations. Approximately 60% of the farm is high fenced with the remainder being low fence net wire.

Soils:                                 Primary soils on the farm include: Montell Clay – This soil features 0% to 1% slopes, it is a very deep nearly level, clayey soil. The soil is moderately well drained and has a moderate available water capacity. This soil is moderately suited to drycrop land and well suited to irrigated farmland. The chief crops are corn, cotton, grain, oats and wheat. Uvalde Clay Loam – This soil features 0% to 1% slopes. The soil is well drained with a high available water capacity. This soil is moderately suited to dry land crops and well suited to irrigation crops. The chief crops are corn, grain, sorghum, oats, wheat, cotton, peppers, cabbage, carrots, onions, spinach and other vegetables.

Remarks:                         The Flowers Farm is one of the three farms that make up the 2,429.75 acres of the Frio Farms. The Frio Farm is separated into three properties; the northwest farm known as the Johnson Farm being 340.74 acres, the central farm known as the Flowers Farm being 743.45 acres and the southeastern farm known as the Holcomb Farm being approximately 1,345.56 acres:

All three farms are generally level and highly productive, efficient and in good working order and have been well maintained.
