Swan Lake Ranch

178 Acre Ranch ~ Jackson County

Improved Hunting Ranch

178 +/- Acres

This Jackson County ranch is approximately 22 miles south of Edna, TX with access off of paved FM 1593.

Swan Lake is located between Port Lavaca Bay and Lake Texacana and extends from Swan Lake as its west boundary and FM 1593 to the east. The ranch is approximately 25% brush and majestic Oak, Elm, and Ash trees and approximately 75% healthy cattle pastures. Native grasses have been managed for optimum growth to provide forage for wildlife and livestock grazing. Heavy native brush areas provide coverage for all wildlife and cattle.

The property is watered with one electric pump/well and one windmill which is currently not in working order. Natural water includes the magnificent Swan Lake at the west boundary, which is a perfect area for fishing, bird watching, or duck hunting. Many anglers wade the shallow lake or use kayaks to fish.

Native wildlife is abundant on the ranch and includes Whitetail deer, dove, quail, and turkey. Additionally, the bird watching is amazing as the ranch offers sanctuary to a multitude of annual and seasonal birds. Swan Lake is prime for targeting redfish most of the year with both flounder and trout frequenting it when conditions are right.

No minerals available.

This ranch was originally part of the Traylor Ranch purchased in 1875.
