Description:

This area North of Camp Wood and Barksdale was first settled in the 1840’s along Bullhead Creek, under noted Bullhead Mountain. The Bullhead Creek offered settlers a clear, rock bottom, ever-flowing water source to support their homestead farms. Indian Springs Ranch has awesome views, fabulous hunting, live water, camp quarters with two R.V. trailers, water and electricity, blinds and feeders. This low-fenced ranch will excite the outdoor enthusiast. Under one industrious owner for the past 36 years, the ranch has been cleared of 99% of all cedar, leaving big oaks, great brush and browse for the wildlife. The rustic camp has capacity to sleep six along with a covered outdoor lounging and BBQ area with table and benches. A pebblestone pathway leads to a modern outdoor privy. Many trails traverse the hills offering good access to all 5 blinds and feeders, and great vistas of the surrounding hills and ranches, which are 1,500 acres to the East and 1,600 acres to the West and South.

Water:

A 720’ deep water well was drilled in 2010 and is equipped with an electric submersible pump and pressure tank serving the two R.V. trailers, water troughs and a concrete pad cleaning station. The well house is insulated on a concrete pad. The ranch is named for the Indian Springs that support the live water Bullhead Creek, both located inside the ranch perimeter. Two 550 gallon water stations supply water troughs and one 165 gallon trough is well-supported.

Wildlife:

Indian Springs Ranch has abundant wildlife, including Elk, Whitetail, Fallow, Blackbuck, Axis, Red Stag, Sika, Aoudad, Barbado, Turkey, Bobcat, feral Hogs, varmints and many songbird types.

Improvements:

The two R.V. trailers have been in place since 1993 and 1997. Power provided by Pedernales Electric Co-Op. Two storage sheds hold camp tools and equipment, feed and supplies for the ranch. The 5 hunting blinds are in excellent shape along with the feeders, which are anchored in concrete and made hog-proof. Several spots along the ranch trails have been improved with concrete to reduce erosion and improve travel.

Minerals:

None Available.

Remarks:

Indian Springs Ranch offers quiet seclusion along dead-end extension of CR 2631, great hunting, incredible views, live water, easy access, low wildlife exemption taxes, utilities in place and a turn-key recreational find.
